Patrick specializes in helping adults with anxiety, burnout, depression, neurodiversity, disordered eating, addictive behaviors, and LGBTQ+ issues. His personal and professional journey fuels his passion for supporting those who struggle emotionally due to their unique life experiences.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Patrick helps you challenge negative thought patterns and develop a more positive sense of self. He can help you develop new ways of thinking which will improve your outlook on life and gain more confidence in your relationship with yourself and others.
He also utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which emphasizes mindfulness and the development of emotional regulation skills. DBT equips clients with strategies to manage intense emotions and respond to emotional triggers in healthier ways.

What insurance do you take?
Aetna, United Healthcare, Optum, Oxford, Oscar, and Cigna. We are not in network with BCBS but we will provide you with a superbill that you can submit for reimbursement using your out of network benefits. You can see a full list of companies I'm in network with here.
How would your clients describe you?
I am a warm, open-minded, and personable. I use a holistic approach and create a safe space for clients to process difficult thoughts and emotions.
What is your approach to therapy?
I use empathy and active listening to ensure clients feel heard and understood. I help clients examine various thinking or behavioral patterns that are holding them back from living their best life. I provide gentle guidance and support as they navigate through challenging experiences, empowering them to explore and express themselves authentically.
Together, we work towards building resilience and coping strategies to navigate life's complexities with confidence and clarity. Clients have reported they feel supported as we collaboratively identify their strengths and utilize them to help reach their goals.
Why did you become a therapist?
I have always had the unique ability to connect deeply with people and create an environment where they feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. It's incredibly rewarding to guide clients through difficult experiences or emotions and witness their progress and growth.
What is your educational background?
I have a Master degree in Social Work and a Master degree in Public Health. I am committed to continuously developing my skills and I have started a PhD program at UConn School of Social Work.
What other professional experiences have you had?
I have participated in numerous speaking engagements in New England to promote awareness and provide education on topics related to LGTBQ+ issues and mental health.
What else should I know about you?
In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, and being outdoors with my dog Hazel.
